Role
The goal of Alumni and Strategic Engagement is to build a lifelong community of connection essential to advancing USask’s mission, vision, and values. This office focuses on fostering meaningful, long-term relationships with alumni, donors, and strategic partners through purposeful interaction, and institutional celebration.
Alumni and Strategic Engagement mandate is:
- Facilitate high-level institutional engagement through landmark events, including Convocation and specialized stakeholder gatherings.
- Support the Alumni Association Advisory Board by providing the strategic and administrative framework necessary for alumni leaders to advise the university and represent the global alumni community.
- Strengthen the lifelong bond with over 180,000 alumni through diverse programming, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
- Communicate institutional milestones and impact to inspire pride and encourage active participation within the university community.
- Foster a culture of volunteerism and ambassadorship among graduates and friends of the university.
- Ensure alignment with strategic priorities by integrating engagement initiatives with the university’s long-term academic and research goals.
The office ensures that USask remains a vibrant, globally connected institution, where every milestone is celebrated and every graduate remains a vital, informed, and engaged member of the university’s future.
